Custom Artwork in Hebrew and English Texts

The couple wrote their own text, which was approved by the officiating rabbi. The bride is Jewish; the groom plans to convert to Judaism in the future. At the top is "This is my beloved and this is my friend" in English with the Hebrew inserted below it. There is a sun with 18 radiating rays. On the left is the groom's constellation--Capricorn; on the right is the bride's constellation--Leo with a Jewish 6 pointed star in the center. The couple wanted their dog Buster, a maistiff, to be in the ketubah. Buster walked down the aisle as well. Thanks are extended to fellow Ketubah artist, Deborah Kaplan for help in depicting Buster.

The main artistic theme is the 6 days of Creation. The couple wanted oceans and mountains in the 2nd day and angelfish and clown fish included in the 5th day. At the bottom is a selection of flowers the couple wanted--calalillies, red tulips & roses. The artist selected white anemones called "white splendour." The poem around the periphery comes from their wedding song, "The Promise" by Tracy Chapman.
